AeroPress: The Undisputed Champ of Coffee Gear
Fast, smooth, and packed with flavour—the AeroPress is like the Game Boy of coffee brewers: compact, versatile, and totally game-changing. Whether you're at home, at work, or brewing in the great outdoors, this little powerhouse delivers rich, clean coffee in minutes.
What You’ll Need:
- Freshly roasted specialty coffee (12g – trust us, fresh is best)
- An AeroPress (if you don’t have one, grab one here)
- AeroPress paper filter (that would be here)
- Hot water (195-205°F, depending on your roast)
- A scale & timer
- A mug or carafe
Let’s Brew Like a Pro!
- Set It Up: Place a paper filter into the cap and twist it onto the AeroPress chamber.
- Add Coffee: Grind 12g of coffee to a fine consistency (like table salt, but finer). Dump it into the AeroPress and set it over your mug or carafe.
- Pour & Seal: Tare your scale and pour 200g of hot water over the coffee. Insert the plunger just enough to be able to pull back up some, creating a vacuum—this keeps the water from sneaking out too soon. Wait 2 minutes.
- Stir & Wait: After 2 minutes, give it a 5-second stir, then let it sit for 30 more seconds.
- Plunge & Enjoy: REMOVE FROM SCALE (seriously, scales are expensive). Then, press down smoothly, aiming for a 30-second plunge.
- Drink Up: Boom! You just brewed a cup worthy of an AeroPress Championship. Sip, savour, and bask in your coffee greatness.
